Hougham Village Hall is well equipped to meet your hire needs. Our committee team are able to meet with you to discuss your hire and the items, furniture and arrangements to ensure you have a successful event. Please do feel free to arrange a visit and take a look at the hall and the facilities that are available to you. See below for a general overview of some of the facilities and items we hold at the hall.
Location: Located in the centre of West Hougham Village within easy walking distance of local residences.
Main Hall: The main hall is approximately 30m long x 15m wide, with a high ceiling and a serving hatch to the kitchen. It can seat up to 100 theatre style or a maximum of 80 when laid out for dining.
Tables and Chairs: We have three different types of tables for your use; large round tables that seat 8 comfortably, 10 rectangular folding tables which seat approximately 6 people and some small square tables that seat 4, together with 80 stacking chairs. The tables are simple to install, although it requires some strength to close the tables after use.
Kitchen: The kitchen has copious working space, a main sink as well as a hand wash basin with a tap, an under-counter fridge freezer, a 900mm kitchen range with hob, microwave, wall kettle and domestic kettle. The kitchen is lit by a combination of bright LED working lights and under-cabinet lighting. There is a reasonable amount of hall crockery, but for large functions, we recommend hiring crockery and cutlery. There are wine glasses and beer glasses for 50. The kitchen has a serving hatch to the main hall and a dishwasher.
Outside space: The rear of the building can be accessed from the main hall, this area is currently under refurbishment and will provide outside space for BBQs and safe play areas for children.
Accessibility: The hall has been refurbished to enable accessibility for wheelchair access to the main entrance, hall and toilets.
Parking: There is parking for approximately 10 cars and streetside parking close to the hall.
